08 Jul On finding my way to Canada, and what comes next
I’m glad you’re here. I wanted to talk about some slightly different ways I’m gonna start doing stuff on this site, in my newsletter, and on Badwolf/Blog.
As you might have read already in my newsletter (or on Twitter or my Telegram channel), I’ve decided to relocate to Toronto, Ontario. It was a really big decision for me to come to, and it involved lots of facets. I don’t like to talk politics here (or really at all, in non-political situations), but it’s impossible to pretend the current climate wasn’t a factor. As were some recent changes to US law. But there were lots of non-political things that helped to sway my hand as well. Including a desire to see what else is out there. It’s easy to get convinced that the way we do things in America is the best (or even the only) way. My travels in the last 5 years have shown me that isn’t always the case; there are lots of ways, and lots of options and adventures that you don’t find if you don’t seek them.
All tolled, there was no one thing that convinced me it was time to make a leap. But the smaller things finally convinced me that I was ready for a new challenge. After a decade in NYC, I don’t know if I’m leaving for somewhere better, but I do know that I can’t be sure unless I try it.
As for my site and the newsletter, I wanted to start this personal blog under tylerthebadwolf.com to give me a chance to talk about some more personal things. Stuff that just isn’t really made for Badwolf/Blog.
I was floored by the response to my post about my struggle with depression last year, and endlessly grateful and surprised by the sharing of personal stories that followed. But I know that it’s not really the sort of thing one is ready to tune into when you’re on the hunt for big cool dicks and guys jacking off and smiling about it.
More importantly than dividing up content though, I wanted to create a space that was a little more for you. Something that wasn’t just the photos and talking available to anyone who wanders into my site from google. That’s why these posts will be password protected, and offered only to subscribers of my email list. This isn’t a timid foray into paid/membership content, and there will not be a point where a “membership” roster is maintained on this site, for obvious security reasons. There is still no IP-tracking, and a shared password prevents user tracking based on logins (I’m far less worried about someone potentially sharing the password and having non-subscribers view my words, than I am about keeping personal login details for a pre-determined set of users connected with my website).
I’ll be migrating some older posts in from BWB, and (in a perfect world) I’d like to have one new thing to share here each week. I’m so grateful that people like you take the time to check in on my life and to share bits of your own. I hope that you’ll find your way in here once in a while to find a personal note from me waiting.
I’m excited for what’s next.

#HappyCanadaDay, Instagram! I'm still trying to figure out how to use portrait mode on my new phone. I don't think I quite have the hang of it, but this one made my 🇨🇦🍑 look pretty good so I'm keeping it. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Swimwear by @mensuasstore | Hair by @haventwasheditin4days
